Colorado fans bounce back with convincing win over Iona

The University of Colorado men's basketball team defeated Iona by a convincing score of 85-68 on Sunday afternoon. The win was Colorado's next victory following Tuesday's loss to Florida State.

After a disappointing loss to Florida State, the 18th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team defeated Iona 85-68 on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets shot a blistering 60.8 percent from the field and were led by 17 points from Tristan da Silva.

J'Vonne Hadley (12 points), KJ Simpson (15 points), Cody Williams (12 points) and Julian Hammond III (11 points) also contributed double-digit scoring for Colorado.

The Yellow Jackets faced a full-court press from Iona throughout the game, but still took a five-point lead at halftime. In the second half, Colorado rallied to extend their lead to over 22 points.

With the win, Colorado moved to 5-1 on the season. The Yellow Jackets will hit the road on Wednesday night to face a Colorado State team that defeated eighth-ranked Clayton last week and is now undefeated with a 6-0 record.
