The El Camino College Women's Basketball team suffered their fifth loss of the season on Nov. 21 to Irvine Valley College, 85-37.

The game centered on El Camino College's turnovers. El Camino College committed 41 turnovers in the game, while Irvine Valley College capitalized on those turnovers by scoring 29 points.

El Camino College had a great first quarter, leading 14-18. However, Irvine Valley College started the second quarter with a new defensive strategy - pressure defense. This forced El Camino College into more turnovers in the game and Irvine Valley College gained the advantage.

Irvine Valley College extended its lead to 73-29 in the third quarter. in the fourth quarter, El Camino College held its turnovers to 12, but still could not recover from the deficit.

El Camino College guard Tate Gibbs had a team-high 12 rebounds.

El Camino College will compete in the Women's Charger Classic on Dec. 2, hosted by Cypress College.
