NBA All-Star Reserves Announced: New Faces Join Familiar Names for February Festivities

The NBA has officially announced its 2024 All-Star bench, and Kawhi Leonard and Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle of the New York Knicks have been selected.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers, along with Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, were among the All-Star reserves announced on Thursday top of the list. They join previously announced Eastern Conference starters Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Halliburton, as well as Western Conference starters LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic.

Several players were named All-Stars for the first time, including Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle of the New York Knicks, Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers, Paul Banchero of the Orlando Magic, Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics. Stephen Curry was named an All-Star for the 10th time, while Anthony Davis and Devin Booker were named to the Western Conference reserve squad.

Julius Randle is unsure if he will be able to play due to a dislocated shoulder, and Commissioner Adam Silver will select a replacement for the injured player who will not be able to play.

This year's All-Star Game will be an exciting talent show, with established stars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant playing alongside young up-and-comers like Anthony Edwards and Paolo Banchero. The game will take place on 18 February in Indianapolis.
